Description/Opportunity:
We’re looking for a UX Researcher to help us grow our Research/UX/Design Team as we work to expand our internal and client-facing (web and mobile) applications. The ideal candidate will have experience taking ownership of the user research process and how it integrates into the larger product team. This person would begin immediately as a full-time employee in Seattle, WA.
Backed by senior CBRE executives, our small, fast-paced team is on a mission to change the space of commercial real estate through our suite of simple, intuitive client-side applications.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
As a User Experience Researcher, you will be responsible for helping teams collect input from users, managing research (design, lab/field/remote analysis, reporting, etc.), and working collaboratively with designers, product managers, developers, and business stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

End-to-end in all aspects of user research (design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
Work closely with cross-functional teams to help them identify and prioritize their research needs
Assist in translating research findings, requirements, and business/user needs into relevant, simple, elegant,
and powerful UI Experiences
Actively monitor and analyze research, data, and trends from internal sources, academic research, and
industry published reports to inform and improve our product and research methods
Present and communicate research clearly and effectively across various stakeholder groups
Be a user-centered design evangelist within our organization

What You Bring:

Curiosity and interest in how people work and solve problems
Experience in gaining active end-user input into the specification, design, and implementation phases
through usability studies, interviews, and other observational methods (web analytics, remote logging,
remote unmoderated tests, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and
recommend solutions
Ability to present complex data to diverse audiences
Eagerness to continually learn, develop your skill set, and improve the craft of UX research

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
At least 2 years of usability testing and UX research experience in a business or academic setting
Typically has a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
Consideration given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Behavioral Science, Computer Science (with Human-Computer Interaction focus), Human Factors, Usability, or Cognitive Psychology
2+ years of experience integrating UX research into Agile environments
Ability to work in a startup environment
Ability to own projects and communication throughout the research process
Strong grasp of qualitative & quantitative methods including statistics and survey research
